Rec Plus provides school-age childcare for children ages 5-12 (must be in grades K-6) at neighborhood recreation centers. Rec Plus operates before and after school, on school release days and during the summer, depending on recreation center. Activities include games and sports, arts and crafts, homework help, field trips and nutritious snacks.

Rec Plus Goals

  1. Provide affordable recreation based school-age care in local recreation centers
  2. Enable children to experience positive benefits of a balanced recreation program
  3. Provide a safe environment for children that promotes healthy physical and social development

YWCA Girls RAP Program

Are you looking for a girl’s only environment, where you can be yourself?

Join Girls RAP (Resolution and Prevention), a program that offers girls new skills and experiences that help them build positive relationships with peers and adults. Girls RAP is a place where girls can talk about their issues and learn about resources which empower them to be independent and informed members of their community.

The Girls RAP program is located at the Downtown YWCA of Minneapolis at 1130 Nicollet Avenue.
