Developing Healthy Somali Youth - Thursday, 4-6pm

The Young Achievers aims to equip Somali youth to be healthy leaders. Youth develop:

  • Solid leadership capabilities
  • Determination to overcome adversity and barriers to success
  • Positive connections with their community
  • Commitment to service
  • Healthy lifestyles exemplified by their personal behavior
  • Academic success and college-readiness

The Young Achievers is designed to support Somali youth academically and personally as they navigate middle and high school. Through caring adult guidance, students thrive creatively, emotionally and intellectually, becoming leaders in their community.

The Young Achievers program is FREE for youth from middle school and up. The program currently meets at these two different locations:

Franklin Library

River Riverside
